City, State: New York, New York Pay Range: $72,000 -$75,000 annually Title: Housekeeping Manager Location: New York, NY FLSA: Exempt Status: Full-Time Reports to: Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Executive Housekeeper Supervises: Housekeeping Operations Pay Range: $72,000 -$75,000 annually Job Summary: The Housekeeper manager assists in overseeing the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction across all hotel areas. This role involves handling daily housekeeping operations, and supporting the housekeeping leaders with budgeting, inventory, and compliance tasks. Essential Functions and Duties: Assist in managing daily operations of housekeeping and laundry departments. Work closely with third-party housekeeping supervisors to ensure service standards, quality expectations, and staffing requirements are consistently met. Plan and organize cleaning assignments for guest rooms and public areas. Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness meets standards. Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and laundry operations to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Prepare daily assignments and communicate with the third-party regrading staffing needs. Support the Executive Housekeeper in budgeting and cost control for supplies and staffing. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Communicate room status updates with the front desk and address any delays. Oversee inventory management and assist with ordering supplies. Maintain productivity and labor cost goals in line with hotel objectives. Implement and monitor deep cleaning schedules and maintenance procedures. Collaborate with other departments to promote resident satisfaction and operational efficiency. Maintain regular and punctual attendance; report to work on time and prepared to perform assigned duties. Present a professional appearance and conduct oneself in a courteous and respectful manner. Required Experience, Education, and Skills: 3+ years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel environment. Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related field. Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred but not required. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and housekeeping management software. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards. Ability to prioritize tasks, plan effectively, and manage time efficiently. Problem-solving skills with the ability to address guest and staff concerns professionally. Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management. Work Environment: Requires standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 30 lbs. regularly, with frequent handling of housekeeping carts, cleaning supplies, and equipment. Full-time position with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
