Department Montbello Family Practice Job Summary Under the direction of a Family Medicine physician, Family Medicine Advanced Practice Providers offer expert medical care to adults and children. They evaluate, treat, and help prevent illnesses and injuries that occur regularly in the general population. They may refer patients to specialists when needed for further diagnosis or treatment. Family Medicine Advanced Practice Providers work at various clinics and locations across Denver Health. Essential Functions: Under the direction of a physician, admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with acute and chronic illnesses, including major and complicated, and perform procedures learned in training. (30%) Provide preventative and therapeutic care for patients of all ages. This includes admit patients, preventative care, acute care, prenatal care, care of injured persons, management of chronic illnesses, and performance of procedures learned in training. (30%) Supervise house staff in providing care for patients of all ages in ambulatory and inpatient settings. (20%) Performs privileged procedures as outlined in the Denver Health Advanced Practice Provider Ambulatory Care Clinical Privileges documentation.
