Job Description: Adolfson and Peterson Construction is hiring for a Workday Analyst (HCM) to be based out of our office in Bloomington. The Workday Analyst is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of the AP Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This individual will analyze business requirements, design solutions within Workday modules, perform system testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide end-user training and support. The role also involves collaborating with the HR team to optimize Workday processes, ensure data integrity, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position. Primary Accountabilities Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. Workday System Expertise & Daily Support Serve as the primary Workday subject matter expert, providing daytoday functional and technical support across all HR modules. Troubleshoot issues, resolve system errors, analyze process flaws, and manage routine operational activities to ensure smooth system performance. Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of organizational data within Workday. Prepare for and support semiannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and implementation of required updates. Lead testing and deployment of new Workday functionality, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption. Document system changes, configuration decisions, and process updates Develop and maintain enduser documentation, job aids, and training materials. Provide functional and technical support to HR and business users, including answering questions and resolving incidents of significance. Support change management efforts by educating users on new features, processes, and best practices. Configuration, Optimization & Process Improvement Partner with key stakeholders to define, implement, and maintain Workday configurations, business processes, and automated workflows. Identify opportunities for enterprisewide process improvements and system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business needs. Configure, update, and enhance Workday business processes to support evolving HR and organizational requirements. Manage, maintain, and develop Workday integrations with AP vendors and internal systems. Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with technical teams or vendors as needed. Stay current with Workday roadmaps, new features, and HR technology trends through Workday Community, user groups, and professional networks. Reporting, Analytics & Data Management Create and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data extracts. Provide data summaries, insights, and statistical analysis to support strategic planning and decisionmaking. Perform data updates, mass uploads, and routine audits to ensure data quality and compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of hands-on Workday experience in one or more modules: HCM, Talent, Learning, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, or Benefits. Strong understanding of Workday architecture, security model, and business process framework Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, and facilitating discussions with business stakeholders Foundational knowledge of HR processes, data, and annual business cycles Experience collaborating as part of an HR team to develop best practices and drive process improvements Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Experience leading or supporting system enhancements, upgrades, and crossfunctional projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences. Working knowledge of HR functions and processes. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
