Job Description: This position is responsible for providing clinical, educational, research and administrative support for the implantable device program. The position coordinates the interrogation of the implantable devices which includes device data that is acquired during onsite device interrogation as well as data that a patient may submit from home to an Internet housed database. The role includes a research component for ongoing studies and maintenance of several databases. The role also serves to educate fellows, NP/PAs, and other staff on the utility of implantable devices, the intricacies of the interrogated device data, and the role these devices play in the management of arrhythmia patients. Analyze and interpret device data, trends, and electrograms to identify and address issues. Conduct routine device checks in clinic and remotely via monitoring systems. Educate patients on device functionality, safety, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate documentation of device settings, programming changes, and patient interactions. Stay up to date with advancements in cardiac device technology and practices. Problem solve and then reprogram device as directed with Physician/NP/PA supervision/direction for implanted cardiac devices Input patient and device information for new implants along with updating current information Skills Clinical Documentation Review and Reporting Data Interpretation Remote Patient Monitoring Device Knowledge/Management Patient Interaction Team Collaboration Continuous Learning Attention to Detail Regulatory Compliance Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Current BLS certification Strong grasp of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and arrhythmia management. One (1) year experience in cardiology, either in a clinic or hospital setting OR a current and unrevoked Cardiac Device Technology Certification from a recognized device training school. Minimum of one (1) current/valid certification from the following list; Registered Nurse (RN)- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)- ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) Preferred Qualifications Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field is highly preferred International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification, within four (4) years of hire Certified Rhythm Analysis Tech (CRAT) credential/certification within 2 years of hire Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements Hearing/listening, seeing, sitting, speaking Lifting Manual dexterity Pulling/pushing, Squatting/kneeling Standing/walking Location: Intermountain Health Heart and Vascular-West Park Cardiology Work City: Grand Junction Work State: Colorado Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
