SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America. Job Description Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedBuyerto manage procurement transactions and make basic sourcing decisions for PV and BESS power system construction projects. This role involves full lifecycle PO management, supplier coordination, and data analysis to support procurement efficiency and accuracy. Job Description: *This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties: Review material requirements and create purchase orders aligned with project needs. Select suppliers based on available data and approved vendor lists. Collaborate with suppliers to confirm PO terms and ensure timely delivery. Monitor open orders and resolve delays or discrepancies. Proactively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to provide options for constrained materials. Address invoice issues and ensure accurate billing. Use ERP reports to analyze procurement performance and identify improvements. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements: 35 years of experience in procurement or buying roles, preferably in construction or energy sectors. Strong proficiency in ERP systems and procurement reporting. Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with strong time management.
