Our team in the Space Sectors Actuation Systems Business Unit is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer in East Aurora, NY to perform the conceptual design, analysis, development, and testing of complex systems used on NASA, military, and commercial applications. This position requires a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems. As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will: Working closely with the internal program teams to provide the systems architecture, interface definition, and requirements validation. Creating system-level models, models as requirements, and simulations necessary to support solution architectures with customers during all stages of the development efforts. Developing system level requirements, supporting the decomposition of requirements to component levels, and leading the verification of requirements. Communicating on a technical level with customer representatives and suppliers. Leading the design process and providing technical leadership within Moogs program scope. Creating concise reports and proposal write-ups that describe the design decisions and analysis results. Generating and maintaining test and analysis cases for systems and subsystems. Working with other systems engineering team members to generate and maintain traceability of test and analysis cases to requirements. Lead system or subsystem-level integration and test. Mentoring younger engineers where and when appropriate. To be considered for the Sr. Systems Engineer role, heres what youll need to bring with you: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering; Masters Degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in a similar systems/design engineering role. Demonstrated strong technical written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with requirements management tools, preferably DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System). Cameo experience is a plus! Proven specific capabilities/competencies in requirements management, verification and validation methods, and integration and test. Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
