Are you goal driven? Then the Retention Specialist position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team. As Retention Specialist, you will provide support and assistance to program clients in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement. You will also focus on job retention follow-up and support. Pathways for Access to Careers and Employment (PACE) Workforce Development Program focuses on maximizing education, training, and career exploration for participants so they can develop well-rounded and adaptable skills that will position them for success across multiple industries and roles and connect them to employment that align with their interests and goals. Successful Elements: · Focus on one-on-one outreach and follow-up to ensure job retention which includes overseeing client activities and assisting with workshop schedules · Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment including individualized assessment of work, family and personal development needs and opportunities · Build professional one-on-one working relationships with clients to assist in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment · Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed · Encourage clients to participate in and follow through with planned activities as outlined in contract with funding agency including creating solutions to client attendance problems · Maintain organized database of clients and keep detailed documentation of all contacts with clients as specified by contractor · Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies · Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up, ensuring that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract including coordinating with client retention services and accommodating client work schedules · Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed · Help to ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract · Other opportunities as available Experience Requirements: · Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts · Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills · Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require · Sales or marketing experience an asset · A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel Education Requirements: · Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Bring your expertise to EDSI where you will be able to live our values every day: Show Up, Smile and Support!
