Job TitleStudent Assistant Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Research Department Unit Business Services Proposed Minimum Salary$10.00 hourly Job LocationCollege Station, Texas Job TypeStudent Worker Job Description The Student Assistant position to assist with business processes; includes processing invoices for payment, monitoring payment processes, responding to inquiries to ensure timely payment and other business duties as assigned. Primary Responsibilities: Process invoices for payment in AggieBuy; monitor payment process and respond to inquiries as necessary to ensure timely payment. Receive packing slips and verify account information for accounts payable processes. Communicate with vendors to update contact information and make payments by credit card. Assist with data entry of financial transactions for departmental reporting. Monitor incoming postal- and electronic- mail. Assist with distribution as appropriate. Scan business documents and assist with electronic filing. Cooperate with business office staff on other business tasks as directed. Performs other duties as assigned. General Qualifications: Demonstrated customer service and communication skills. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Learning Outcomes: Engage and participate effectively in a team environment. Articulate how skills, abilities, and knowledge gained in the business office are transferable to a career.
