Job Profile Summary Under the direction of the Senior Director, Continuing Education/ Workforce Development Health Science, this position serves in a management and leadership capacity as it relates to division operations, oversees a functional area of the CEHS department and is accountable for the successful achievement of goals and objectives of the area. Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in supervision and management or related field required. Professional Healthcare credential preferred (i.e, Medical Assistant) An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Minimum Experience/Training: Five years of experience in business related solutions with three years of supervisory or lead experience required, healthcare office management experience preferred. Familiarity with health science non-credit programs preferred. Essential Functions: Under the Direction of the Senior Director, manages the operational plan for a select area of the CEHS department and provides direction to ensure alignment with Broward Colleges mission, vision, and strategic plans. Assists with clinical requirements, program logistics, and assists the Senior Director in the management of the day-to-day operations and activities of the division operations and administration functions. Responsible for clinical management of the select area, including recommendations to the Senior Director for staffing, hiring, termination and discipline. Setting performance standards and evaluating staff, staff development and training etc. Provides leadership to assigned staff and adjunct faculty in all matters related to select courses including class schedules, room assignments, course materials and staffing to ensure quality of continuing education programs and student success. Works in cooperation with hospital and community partner agencies to offer programs that offer a pipeline into jobs within the healthcare arena. Assists in the development of new programs to meet the changing needs of the healthcare community and develops programs targeted for entry-level healthcare positions. Assists in the management of budgetary and financial assets related to a specific assigned area and the department at large. Develops and implements recruitment plans, marketing strategies and partnerships that focus on increasing enrollment in Continuing Education courses by developing, editing and distributing promotional materials (i.e. brochure, flyers etc.), participating in community events, webinars, and other opportunities that support the goals of the CEHS department. Maintains CEHS website Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the area and makes recommendations for enhancements. Maintains liaison with other areas of the college, such as Counseling, Registration, Learning Resources, and Instructional Technology. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of college structure, policies and practices, and the impact on own area. Proven expertise in executing operational plans, managing projects and/or programs, budgeting, cost control and delivery of results. Excellent coordination and communication skills used appropriately influence the decision making of individuals and groups. Ability to plan and manage own work flow, priorities and results accomplishment. Understanding of external environment and how it impacts the local economy and other social influences. Ability to analyze and interpret data sets Strong organizational skills including prioritization and managing multiple priorities Critical thinker who evaluates options and develop/implement action plans. Ability to effectively collaborate and influence others Strong negotiator with ability to gain support or commitment Knowledge of LMS (Learning Management Systems) Knowledge of current business, social media, sales & marketing trends Experience developing course content and implementation CEHS programs Strong business ethics and effective verbal and written communication skills.
