JOB DESCRIPTION: The Opportunity Abbott Vascular (AV) provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guidewires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents. As a Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will manage the global AV consolidation of financial planning and reporting processes with a primary focus on the balance sheet. This role will provide leadership oversight, coordination, and planning, to execute the financial planning processes and ensure timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial information. As part of the Medical Devices balance sheet separation initiative, this role will serve as AVs balance sheet subject matter expert, liaising globally with counterparts in both AV FP&A, the Medical Devices Project team and global CFS to define requirements, develop solutions, communicate effectively and ensure a smooth rollout of this initiative as it moves through the multiple work lanes. The main output includes a) the oversight and coordination of AVs balance sheet and cashflow financial planning activities including the compilation, analysis, and distribution of management review packages, b) preparing high quality analytics and presentations that serve to enable informed decision making by the executive staff and c) serving as the main point of contact between AVs Division Headquarters, various financial teams around the world, and Medical Device headquarters or Corporate Finance. This position works out of AVs Santa Clara, CA location. What Youll Work On Serve as the primary global AV point of contact for financial planning and analysis of the balance sheet/cash flow. Lead the balance sheet separation initiative for AV by working with the global project team, global AV FP&A and CFS to define requirements, develop solutions, communicate effectively and ensure a smooth rollout of this initiative. Serve as an integral member of AV global division headquarters with adjunct responsibility of sales, gross margin and an overall understanding of both the P&L and balance sheet. Define and maintain an effective and efficient balance sheet planning process, including preparing a planning calendar with key dates and deliverables, identifying and communicating all FP&A submission requirements, developing flexible, comprehensive tools and templates to consolidate LBE results while ensuring financial submission materials meet requirements and needs of the division, Medical Devices headquarters and/or Corporate. Responsible for understanding the global balance sheet, identifying risks and opportunities by working closely with global AV FP&A counterparts and communicating timely and effectively with executive leadership Manage the month-end reporting of financial performance metrics including performing actual to budget variance analysis. Prepare clear and concise executive management presentation materials used to communicate division financial objectives and performance. Produce business analyses and decision support for executive management to optimize financial performance and profitability. Communicate with global FP&A contacts to coordinate on routine and ad hoc management requirements. Implement solutions and process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning and/or reporting requirements. Required Qualifications Accounting, Finance Bachelor's Degree or similar subject area. Combined experience in accounting or finance (in addition to equivalent experience listed above). Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization as well as with domestic and international colleagues Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a geographically diverse, matrixed organization Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines Previous experience delivering accurate financial information that adds value to managements decision-making process Advanced level proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivots, what if/sum if, etc.) Proficient with Word and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications MBA or other advanced degrees preferred. CPA or other certifications also preferred. Experience with Dodeca or other financial planning tools is a plus The base pay for this position is $130,700.00 $261,300.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
