Northrop Grummans Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams. This Software Engineer Level 2 role will located at our Morrisville, NC site. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will: Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine computer user needs: analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met. This position is contingent upon clearance verification and transfer to the NG sponsored program as well as continued ability to maintain required clearance level. Basic Qualifications (must have/required to be considered): Requires an active Top-Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance [TS/SCI] at time of application Must be able and willing to favorably succeed a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph Level 2: Bachelors degree with 2 years of software development experience An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed Bachelors Masters degree with 0 years of software development experience PhD with 1 year of software development experience Experience with Python Experience with Linux Experience with Git Preferred Qualifications (not required, but nice to have): STEM degree Favorably adjudicated CI or FS polygraph Experience with Go/C++ Experience with Kubernetes/Docker Experience with AWS About Space Sector: Offering satellite, payload, directed energy, and electronics for security and civil markets. Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
