Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Systems Engineer SEIT Integrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, CA. In this role you will work closely with the Program Systems Engineering Integration Team, various engineering functions, and suppliers to ensure the overall system meets all performance requirements and resolving technical and programmatic issues as they arise. Essential Functions: Plan, organize and manage technical activities and to effectively motivate multiple disciplines to work as an integrated team across locations and organizations Anomaly resolution, internal and external change coordination and managing internal and external requirements and interface control Serve as integrator of hardware and software capabilities into the program system General understanding of Networks, interoperability, and system of systems concepts Field issue resolution and failure investigations Understanding of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) Familiarity with JIRA software tool (and/or similar) for issue tracking and resolution Participation in Technical Interchange Meetings and major program reviews Leadership skills and communication skills across various programs The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, software engineers, hardware designers, and test engineers Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Masters Degree in a STEM field and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation). Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Design, Development, Production, Testing, and Fielding the System Experience in Systems Integration and Test Experience with Ground Segment and Communication Systems Experience with Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) process Experience with automated testing such as Requirement Verification Tests (RVTs) Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
