The Role The International Middle Office Associate provides support to two trading desks, the Fidelity Capital Markets International Equity Trading Desk and the Fidelity Foreign Exchange Trading Desk. Becoming experienced in middle office support for international equity; assisting traders with issues, supervising and facilitating trade allocations, trade configurations and input, troubleshooting P and S and settlement problems by researching, taking corrective actions and solving root cause Primary contact for electronic order flow exceptions for the international equity trading desk Confirming the financial details of all foreign exchange trades and settling the trades to the appropriate banking instructions. This requires direct phone and electronic contact with Fidelity Retail representatives, brokers, external correspondent and broker/dealer clients and domestic and international banks Reconciling of daily FX foreign currency accounts and investigation/resolution of open accounting items Ensuring pertinent information is efficiently communicated within the team as well as internal and external parties in order to effectively operate 24 hours a day Fully understanding of the order and trade lifecycle along with the systems that facilitate the lifecycle, from various order entry points, through execution, and completion of the trade in settlement Participating in requirement gathering, testing and implementation for projects relating to foreign exchange and international equity The Expertise and Skills You Bring Ability to work in a fast-paced, trading floor environment with the aptitude to multi-task with many different systems You possess interpersonal skills and the ability to process work accurately with attention to detail You bring strong leadership skills and the ability to identify and design operational improvements Self-motivated and can operate as part of a dynamic team Excellent digital literacy and are proficient at using Microsoft Office, with Excel macro aptitude a plus Bachelor's Degree in, plus 2-3 years of brokerage or trade support experience FINRA Brokerage licenses 7, 63 required; 24 preferred Effectively operate in a 24x6 environment, including holiday coverage The Team The International Middle Office team operates in a 24-hour environment supporting two product trading desks as well as the International trading activities of Fidelitys brokerage customers. The team ensures accurate trade booking, trade break resolution, confirmation and settlement, issue resolution and internal/external customer service. In this role, additional exposure will offer domestic and international order routing, securities lending experience, systems technology involvement and coordination, and risk management assessment. We adhere to the highest ethical standards, and ensure actions are consistent with defined policies and procedures. The team handles all middle office aspects of retail and institutional trading for international equities and foreign exchange. This includes order support, trade processing, client service and exception management. The team provides high quality support while forming relationships across the firm. You will be supervised, but have the discretion to take action as an individual contributor and /or as a subject matter expert. Fidelitys Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles. The base salary range for this position is $60,000-115,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
