Full Job Description

Packing Operator Pay: $ 27.13 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00 (after 8:00 PM) Hours: Monday-Friday; 6:30 pm - 4:00 am, Shift schedules could include days, nights, weekends, some holidays, hours subject to business needs The Packing Operator is responsible for the smooth operation of daily scheduling needs and coordinates the day-to-day work for all fillers, satisfying production needs and maintaining consistent levels of service production needs. Responsible for ensuring operational compliance to all food safety policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Conduct machine set-up and pre-operational checks to ensure sanitary conditions and readiness for production. Operate all packing equipment in the department and successfully complete changeovers Perform temperature checks as per SOPs to ensure food safety. Observe for product defects such as paneling cups, open seals, or any deviation from quality standards. Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with compliance standards. Verify the correct product is being packed according to the production schedule and execute product changeovers as required. Assist with kitchen or production support tasks as directed by floor supervisors or production management. Required Qualifications & Experiences: 6+ months of manufacturing experience Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills. Basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications & Experiences: 1+ year of food manufacturing work experience Forklift experience Familiarity with LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures and ensure compliance when working with or near energized equipment. Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision. Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include: Perform pre-shift stretching exercises to promote physical readiness and injury prevention. Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Able to work in noisy environments Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment. Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present. About Land O'Lakes, Inc.
