Job Description/Preferred Qualifications We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Design Engineer Intern to support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and mechanical components. This handson role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineering student interested in manufacturing, CAD design, and real-world engineering experience. Responsibilities Help develop and maintain manufacturing/engineering documentation and checklists Support NPI qualification planning and implementation Perform basic testing, data collection, and root-cause analysis Assist with designing and updating tooling, fixtures, and CAD models Required Qualifications Pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience with 3D CAD (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.) Knowledge of mechanical design basics (materials, tolerances, GD&T) Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work hands-on Preferred Qualifications Exposure to machining, 3D printing, or other manufacturing processes Familiarity with DFM/DFA or basic FEA tools Prior project or internship experience in manufacturing or mechanical design Minimum Qualifications Requires less than 1 year of related experience Base Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour based on pursuit of a Bachelors Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLAs total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
