Department Athletics, Volleyball-OPS Compensation $20.00 Hourly Position Summary The University of North Florida (UNF) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as an Assistant Volleyball Coach for its NCAA Division I Womens Volleyball program. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of team management, coaching, recruiting, and program development in alignment with the mission and values of UNF Athletics and the standards of the ASUN Conference and NCAA. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the planning, organizing, and execution of practices and competitions. Provide technical and tactical instruction to student-athletes to enhance individual and team performance. Support recruiting efforts by identifying, evaluating, and contacting prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA regulations. Monitor student-athletes academic progress and promote a culture of academic excellence. Foster a positive team culture that supports student-athlete development, well-being, and diversity. Assist in scouting opponents and preparing match strategies. Coordinate team travel, logistics, and administrative tasks as assigned by the Head Coach. Assist in maintaining equipment and managing inventory. Represent the program at university, community, alumni, and fundraising events. Ensure compliance with all NCAA, ASUN Conference, and UNF rules and regulations. Required Qualifications Statement(s) of Understanding This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check. The holder of this position is designated as a Responsible Employee pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the Universitys Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations. The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.
