Full Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Adhere to purchasing policies and practices to ensure highest quality, appropriate inventory levels, timely delivery, and competitive cost from suppliers. 2. Assist in execution of strategic sourcing plans to support company objectives. 3. Learn to identify the risks to SEL's supply chain; including overall market trends, capacity constraints, commodity risks, and business conditions for manufacturers and suppliers. 4. Create and improve supplier partnerships by communicating SEL expectations in accordance with World Class Manufacturing principles and escalate issues that arise. 5. Continuously improve in the areas of business professionalism, purchasing fundamentals, time management, data analysis, supply chain management, supplier development, cost reduction strategy development and negotiation techniques. 6. Follow SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 7. Understand. Create. Simplify. 8. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School diploma or G.E.D. Typically, 1 or more years of experience Basic skills in Microsoft Excel Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Location Pullman, WA-This position is located inPullman, WA.
