Mid-Level Estimating and Pricing Specialist Company: The Boeing Company The Finance Shared Services - Estimating COE (Center of Expertise) - Government Estimating & Pricing team is seeking a Mid-Level Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join the estimating team in Hazelwood, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of material estimates and cost/price proposals for new business activities. This assignment will primarily support the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Boeing Captains of Industry (BCOI) proposal team. This Mid-Level Estimating and Pricing specialist would primarily support DLA BCOI material estimates for the BGS business units. There could also be an opportunity to cross train and support other material or labor estimating tasks for both the production and global services units, both of which have complex proposal and execution challenges. The selected individual will support proposal development, customer negotiation, and contract settlement processes. Position responsibilities: Participate in evaluation of requests for proposal Develop basis of estimates to support proposal and technical requirements Perform analyses in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.) Coordinate and collaborate with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of costs estimates, proposals and other related business decision data Identify, assess and implement changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelors Degree or higher 3+ years of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management) 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with material estimating Experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating & pricing tools and processes Experience with Untied States Government (USG) Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills Experience working in a highly dynamic and diverse team environment with the ability to work across business units, functions and tailor communication to all skill levels within the organization Experience working both independently as well as in a team environment and be highly responsive to the needs generated by the day-to-day activities of management and the organization Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
