About the Opportunity Job Summary The Data-Driven Renewables Research (D2R2) group led by Dr. Peter Schindler is accepting applications for a postdoctoral research associate in the field of computational materials discovery starting in Summer 2025 . Our group is seeking to discover novel materials for renewable energy applications using high-throughput quantum chemistry calculations and data-driven materials property predictions. A deep understanding of materials properties and close connections in academia and industry enable the group to explore exciting research avenues. Additional background in renewable energy, surface science, catalysis, and/or machine learning. Strong programming skills in Python and some exposure to machine learning. Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent publication track-record and basic experience with grant writing.
