As a Development intern you will work with a team of engineers and industry professionals in one the following area: Hardware Development: This may include both mechanical or electrical HW and activities may include: modeling various aspects of drive/controller systems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, technology investigations, and small design projects. Areas of work may be control systems, motor electromagnetics, and digital/analog electronics, product design and development Additionally, as a student associate there will be hosted activities and events intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills and immerse yourself in our company culture. This position will be located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and we're considering applicants local to Milwaukee before opening up to applicants outside of the local area who are willing to relocate on their own. The Essentials - You Will Have: Must be pursuing a bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited college or university. Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. The Preferred - You Might Also Have: Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 Preference given to students met on campus, at a national recruiting event, through a Rockwell Automation-hosted event or a targeted recruiting campaign Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering Basic computer programming (C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript) Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming Previous experience with Industrial Automation products Experience using Agile methodology Resourcefulness Problem solving Communicating technical concepts Collaborative mindset What We Offer: Health Insurance 401k Paid Holidays off Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.
