We are seeking Lab Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Durham, NC. We hire passionate innovators who drive healthcare forward through thoughtful and inclusive collaboration. Job Summary: As a Lab Associate, you will perform routine testing procedures to generate accurate data for use in clinical trials research. You will support laboratory operations by following SOPs, documenting results, maintaining sample and reagent storage, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. What You'll Be Doing: Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines Evaluate the validity of analytical results against algorithms displayed by the laboratory computer system Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate them to senior lab personnel Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis, as required Support post-analysis sample and reagent storage Assist in the development and writing of new laboratory procedures and techniques Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory environment consistent with 6S standards Support safety, quality, continuing education, and compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements What We Are Looking For: Bachelor's Degree required; some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology degree 6 months relevant lab experience Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable regulatory agency standards Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology used in the area of responsibility Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree Applicable certifications and licenses as required by country, state, and/or other regulatory bodies The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role: Basic knowledge of laboratory principles and routine specimen analysis Basic computer skills and the ability to evaluate results using laboratory computer systems Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner with cross-functional teams Commitment to safety, quality, 6S standards, and continuing education What We Offer You: We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
