Material Specialist B 2nd Shift - Millennium Space Systems Company: Millennium Space Systems (MSS), a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Material Specialist B 2nd Shift to support the Inventory team in El Segundo, CA! Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Specialist B to support and manage Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory operations across the company. This position plays a critical role in the supply chain by ensuring that all materials and parts are received accurately, stored properly, transported safely, and delivered efficiently to the appropriate departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control processes, logistics coordination, and material handling best practices. They will work closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Production, Quality, and Logistics to ensure seamless material flow and timely support to meet Millennium Space Systems production demands. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management software are essential for this role. This role requires ability to work second shift. This position's internal job code is Material Specialist B. Our team is currently hiring for a Grade 15. Position Responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials according to packing lists and purchase orders Perform general verification, receive, sort, secure and distribute incoming parts and supplies Verify quantities, part numbers, and specifications against documentation and resolve discrepancies promptly Provide internal customer service and communicate with internal stake holders Properly label and store received materials in designated inventory locations, ensuring proper handling and preservation Kit work orders safely and timely in accordance with company standards Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities, including shipment logs, and tracking information Assist with all electronic inventory in accordance with ESD requirements Perform cycle counts and physical audits of program/government furnished, and Millennium owned materials Prepare, ship, and track outgoing shipments via FedEx and UPS Make internal deliveries to proper inventory storage locations or drop points Maintain inventory in accordance to Millennium Space System best practices, which include FAR/DFAR, DCAA, and AS9100 requirements Operate standard shipping/receiving warehouse equipment such as forklifts, power jacks, hand trucks and manual pallet jacks Maintain cleanliness of stockroom areas This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
