Job Posting Title Acquisitions and Resource Management Librarian Job Description Summary Administrative Exempt Job Description Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Collections Services, the Acquisitions and Resource Management Librarian provides operational and analytical support to the Library Collections Group in the Colleges Library and Technology Services (LTS) division to ensure the effective management of the librarys general collections in all formats. The Acquisitions and Resource Management Librarian serves as a central position within the Collections Services team, working collaboratively with colleagues to acquire materials, track expenditures, and ensure seamless access to library resources in all formats to the College community. Primary Position Responsibilities: In collaboration with library staff colleagues and in accordance with existing policies and workflows, identifies library materials in all formats for acquisition. Places orders, receives materials, and processes invoices in Workday and FOLIO library services platform. Acts as a resource for library staff colleagues by providing analytical support for collection management, collection assessment, and fund management decisions. Generates usage reports for electronic resources, tracks and analyzes financial data, and assists in the preparation of reports. Leads ebook acquisition workflows and administers Evidence-Based Acquisition (EBA) programs. Troubleshoots ebook access issues and evaluates services to inform strategic selection decisions. Provides back-up support for E-Resources Librarian in the management of electronic databases and journals to ensure access. Participates in the outreach and public service work of the Library Collections and Research and Instructional Services groups. Provides front-line patron services in LTS service locations and leads/participates in projects that promote the delivery of services to all members of the user community. Basic Qualifications: Masters Degree in Library and Information Science or a combination of equivalent educational and professional experience. An understanding of the mission of higher education and the required support of library resources. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employers sponsorship now or in the future Skills and Abilities : Knowledge and understanding of the organization and classification of information resources (national and international standards). Ability to identify, evaluate, and acquire library materials according to institutional criteria and guidelines. Strong analytical and data skills. Ability to communicate using data. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Working knowledge of one or more foreign languages.
