Role summary: The Manager, Assortment Activation, leads the planning and execution of modular assortment initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to quality standards. This role coordinates cross-functional activities, manages timelines, and mitigates risks to meet business objectives. Serving as a subject-matter expert, the manager provides guidance and mentorship to associates, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence. By translating strategic insights into actionable plans, this position supports seamless execution while promoting collaboration and accountability across teams to deliver consistent, high-impact results aligned with Walmarts values and customer focus. About the team: The Assortment Activation team drives efficient planning and execution within Patio & Garden and Live Plants categories. This team ensures seamless coordination, meeting key milestones with quality and timeliness. Members provide expert guidance, track progress, and address challenges to deliver consistent results. Collaboration across functions supports clear communication and strategic alignment. The team emphasizes continuous improvement through feedback and development opportunities, promoting operational excellence. By leveraging data and digital tools, the team enhances execution effectiveness and supports business objectives while maintaining integrity and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. What you'll do: Plan and balance workload assignments to optimize resource allocation and meet project milestones efficiently. Coordinate daily execution activities, managing timelines, dependencies, and team resources to ensure quality outcomes. Provide expert guidance on modular execution standards and best practices, supporting associates with hands-on consultation. Monitor progress, identify risks, and remove obstacles to maintain schedule adherence and execution quality. Translate leadership and analyst requirements into clear, actionable execution plans with consistent communication. Capture feedback and performance data to drive continuous process improvements and repeatable practices. Mentor and develop team members, fostering operational excellence and professional growth. What you'll bring: Proven experience in workload planning, resource allocation, and scheduling to meet project milestones efficiently. Strong expertise in modular execution standards and quality assurance practices. Ability to coordinate complex projects, manage risks, and communicate progress across cross-functional teams. Demonstrated skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members to foster growth and operational excellence. Proficiency in data analysis and process improvement to drive continuous enhancement of execution practices. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Option 1: Bachelors degree in business, merchandising, operations, or related area and 2 years experience in retail operations, merchandising, or modular execution.
