Full Job Description

Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility. Acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Daily maintenance of pool equipment and deck. 2. Event support including equipment set-up/removal and customer service. 3. Ensure adherence to safety standards for aquatics operations including surveillance and assistance in emergency situations for competition pool and dive well. Additional information may be found here Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies Minimum Qualifications: 1. Must have CPR for professional rescuer, lifeguard training, and first aid. 2. Must attach ASIST schedule and current certifications. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Certifications through the American Red Cross, one-year lifeguarding experience, and at least one reference. Time Type Part time Location Onsite Pay Rate Starting at $12.77 Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour.
