The strategic sourcing and contracting specialists play a pivotal role in developing, managing, integrating and improving Boeing's supply chain. Our organization is responsible for the sourcing, procurement, and contract management of indirect goods and services across Boeings global enterprise and is critical to enabling company operations. This role manages sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance for HR, Learning and Development, and Travel categories, ensuring compliant, costeffective procurement execution. It partners closely with HR, Travel, and crossfunctional stakeholders to align purchasing decisions with business needs, policy requirements, and service level expectations. Success in this role requires the ability to understand critical business needs, strong organizational skills, and the capability to manage a heavy workload effectively, along with business acumen and problemsolving abilities. The ideal candidate should be experienced working in crossfunctional teams, demonstrate leadership, possess strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear customer focus and the ability to build positive working relationships. Position Responsibilities: Develop source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies that integrate program, customer, product and in-service strategies Assess suppliers company health, performance and capability to deliver products and services Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions Evaluate supplier proposals for cost, lead time, quality and risk Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements Conduct risk, issues and opportunities management Analyze external market and internal demand Identify root cause and recovery plans Manage supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance Initiate supplier improvement activities and integrating results into contracting strategies Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity Contribute to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher 3+ years of experience working in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain Planning 3+ years of experience leading negotiations with standard terms and conditions; including payment terms Experience as the key point of contact for managing supplier performance against contractual agreements Experience interpreting data and presenting analysis and/or recommendations to management Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline 5+ years of experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements 5+ years of experience identifying and integrating opportunities to leverage/improve contracting strategies Experience supporting a lead negotiator for complex contracts Experience modifying contract terms with legal assistance Experience in a self-directed role Experience working in matrix organizations with people at all levels Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Companys Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
