As a Manager I, Ocular Health Pharma Field Sales, you will lead highperforming pharmaceutical sales teams focused on advancing ocular health across a large, strategically important geography. This remote field based position oversees two therapeutic areasDry Eye and Glaucomaeach with clearly defined coverage responsibilities. The Dry Eye territories and Glaucoma territories include: Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, Buffalo NY, Columbus, OH In this role, you will develop and execute business strategies that align with organizational goals, guide your teams in building meaningful relationships with eye care professionals, and ensure the needs of all partners are met within compliance guidelines. Youll champion field excellence, strengthen crossfunctional collaboration, and maintain an active presence within the ophthalmic and optometric communities across your assigned markets. In this role, a typical day will include: Leading and developing the Ocular Health Pharma Field Sales team to strengthen overall performance and ensure consistent field execution. Facilitating impactful training and development sessions, while overseeing the hiring, onboarding, and continuous upskilling of sales personnel. Employing business planning, market insights, and customer knowledge to build and execute sales strategies that align with organizational goals and drive achievement of sales targets. Tracking sales performance, monitoring key account metrics, and communicating progress through clear and timely monthly/quarterly reporting. Establishing and fostering strong relationships with key partners and decision-makers across accounts to deepen understanding of treatment algorithms, business dynamics, and customer needs. Managing client inquiries, addressing sales-related challenges, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction within compliance guidelines. Identifying prospective accounts, conducting outreach activities, and uncovering new growth opportunities across the territory. Staying connected to market evolution by conducting ongoing market research, maintaining awareness of industry trends, and participating in relevant industry events and conferences. Collaborating with internal crossfunctional partners to develop compliant promotional materials, support field initiatives, and coordinate pricing or contract discussions with finance teams. Ensuring adherence to company policies, operational standards, and regulatory and compliance expectations across all business activities. Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English. 5 Years of Proven Experience Dry Eye Territory: Glaucoma Territory: Relocation Assistance: Not Available Sponsorship Available: Not Available Preferred requirements: Preference for candidate to live within market- Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland Ohio, Buffalo NY, Columbus Ohio Exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business (e.g. Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Sales Operations, Managed Care and Marketing) Prior experience launching new products preferred Ophthalmic sales or relevant ophthalmic experience preferred Working relationships with top Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) Excellent communication skills, including written, oral as well as presentation capabilities Strong ability to assess and develop people Critical thinking skills, strategic thinker and strong business acumen Result oriented with strong drive to make it happen Driving license category B How to Thrive at Alcon: Manage your own workload and schedule while hitting your set targets.
