Our Global Supply Chain team plays a central part in ensuring our products are delivered to patients with cardiovascular disease and critical care needs. Youll partner cross-functionally with manufacturing operations and sales teams, delivering thoughtful solutions to complex challenges all while developing your knowledge of the medical device industry. Whether your work includes strategic inventory planning, labeling, warehouse management, material handling, or any of our other supply chain opportunities, you will be making a meaningful contribution to our team and to patients all over the world. The Sr. Planner, Supply Chain will be working in a team environment within Global Supply Chain supporting enterprise cardiac implant planning, responsible for the end-to-end supply planning process for cardiac implant network manufacturing. How youll make an impact: Manage all planning activities for Accessories and Tissue Leaflets Leading MPS review monthly Partnering with manufacturing teams and external manufacturers to deliver optimal master plan for the portfolio she/he is in charge Participating in long range capacity planning Organizing product launch and product exit planning Proactively identifying and resolving supply issues Collaborate with cross functional teams during changes implementations Responsible for inventory management, assure adherence to planned levels and minimize excess & obsolete exposure (E&O) Replenish regional inventory according to regional demand and inventory target Responsible for global LIFR and back-order resolution Key metrics include Line Level Fill Rate, Back-Order $, Working Capital $, E&O Act as the supply planning contact for outsourcing and transfer initiatives, to include processing purchase orders Implement inventory optimization initiative Assist in the demand planning process in conjunction with the demand planner What you will need (required): Bachelors degree in business or related field (preferred) and 5 years of experience OR equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria This role is required to be onsite. Selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Edwards campus in Irvine, CA. What else we look for (preferred): Maters Degree in Business or related field Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Global Supply Chain, and Quality systems (e.g., SQMS, JDE, JDA) required Good project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiating and relationship management skills Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Full knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to local and/or global supply chain including FDA and ISO laws and regulations applicable to medical device industry Advanced problem-solving skills Strict attention to detail Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment Leadership, talent development and communication skills Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams, key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects, and vendors/suppliers Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry preferred Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families. For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $81,000 to $116,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
