This position will implement and participate in recruitment activities and share with all admissions officers common responsibilities representing Keene State College to all interested students. The Assistant Director will participate in all phases of recruitment and admissions activities and be responsible for supporting the Admissions Office in identifying, attracting and enrolling students from a specific territory. Additional responsibilities include oversight of telecounseling and travel, and other duties as assigned. All staff on campus support students and will be involved in student-focused activities. Duties/Responsibilities New Student Recruitment (40%) Manage recruitment territory which includes representing the college on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process including at college fairs, high school visits and other events. Build and maintain relationships with accepted students to foster positive relationships with both the students and their families Assist the office with its efforts to successfully recruit, select and enroll an academically talented and diverse student body that meets institutional goals. Develop and maintain communication with prospective students and school counselors through email, phone, text, handwritten notes, and other forms of correspondence. High School Visits and College Fairs (30%) Develop travel and recruitment objectives, with the Director of Admissions, to support enrollment goals. Effectively develop travel schedule to high schools and college fairs to increase KSC program and community awareness Deliver presentations and effectively communicate specifics about KSC in daily/weekend group information sessions. Assist with Admissions events, prospective student visits and other duties as assigned. Includes overnight travel, evening and weekend work Admission and Application Evaluation (20%) Responsible for the timely and accurate evaluation of approximately 700 applications using a digital-based application system and issue admissions decisions for honors consideration and merit-based scholarships. Develop methodical outreach to increase retention/reduce accepted student melt Work with faculty to be knowledgeable about program requirements and outcomes CRM and SIS Reporting (10%) Monitor progress toward targets for the territory though uses of Salesforce/TargetX CRM, dashboards, and other data to develop and implement recruitment and travel strategies. Requires running reports in Salesforce/TargetX CRM Requirements Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Bachelors degree and related experience in higher education. Experience in counseling/recruitment/advising. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Prior Salesforce knowledge Previous experience with other SIS and CRM systems Proven written and oral communication skills Demonstrated experience with Microsoft applications and relational databases.
