Job Summary Salary Range: $17.00 to $18.50 Per Hour Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position performs duties and responsibilities associated with the clean and sanitary keeping of facilities and grounds. Must be organized and follow a routine that ensures the facility is clean and presentable to staff and visitors during business hours. This includes providing cleaning services necessary to maintain the facility and strictly adhering to current SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Responsibilities Cleans and maintains Production and Office Break Areas, Restrooms, Elevators & Elevator Lobby, and Conference Rooms as well as other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash and sanitizing all surfaces. Assists facility management in preparation for special facility events. Safely operate a forklift (PIT) to empty trash into the appropriate dumpster. Operates the floor scrubber and mops at regular intervals to ensure the cleanliness of floors in assigned areas. Wall-to-wall cleaning of production break and office break areas, restrooms, elevators & elevator lobby, conference rooms, including corners, counters, stainless steel, appliances (inside & out), windows, carpet cleaning, sweeping under tables, and aisle cleaning in high-traffic areas. Responsible for performing all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) duties associated with the assigned space including daily cleaning schedules and associated documentation according to cGMP requirements. Maintains accurate housekeeping daily logs according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines. Uses appropriate chemicals, diluted at the correct ratio, in properly labeled containers, effectively and safely. Ensures proper safety precautions are being taken in and around areas being cleaned; uses wet floor signs, PPE, and does not leave supplies unattended. Works with the Facilities Department to maintain adequate supplies at all facility cleaning stations as well as in the supply room. Coordinates cleaning activities within the facilities team including other maintenance custodians and maintenance mechanics. Assist with minor maintenance duties including but not limited to painting, changing light bulbs, and assembly of office furniture. Ensures storage room is kept in a safe, neat, and orderly manner. Assists with maintaining safe and accessible walkways in and around the facility during inclement weather. Observe all safety guidelines; inform the Supervisor of any safety hazards; attend all required safety training classes. Responsible for reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor. All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance to company documents, programs, and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED. Previous related experience is not required, however, janitorial experience is preferred. Ability to perform basic repairs, operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and knowledge of different cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and polishes. Effective problem-solving skills, sound judgment, organizational skills, time-management skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environment. High level of attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work variable hours, weekends, and overtime as needed.
