Summary: In this role, you will serve as a senior procurement subject matter expert supporting clients with routine, blanket, capital, and service procurements. You will act as a primary point of contact for sourcing and purchasing activities, ensure transactional accuracy and policy compliance, and resolve escalated issues related to pricing, delivery, and invoicing. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to improve processes, enhance data quality, and deliver best-in-class client service that supports operational and cost-efficiency goals. Responsibilities: Serve as primary point of contact for routine, blanket, capital, and service procurements within established policy parameters. Convert and transact capital requisitions to purchase orders, validating accuracy against supplier quotes and coordinating resolution of delivery issues. Review and document order confirmations and delivery exceptions, coordinating with suppliers on release dates, substitutions, and sourcing alternatives. Update and maintain non-contract pricing confirmations in ERP systems in accordance with approved authority levels. Review, approve, or route invoice discrepancies for routine, capital, and service purchases requiring resolution. Evaluate vendor performance, identify impediments, and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives. Research substitutions or secondary sourcing solutions for escalated backorder and supply continuity issues. Audit pricing quotes and identify cost savings opportunities and value-added benefits. Support clients with item master accuracy, supplier identification, and ad hoc procurement-related inquiries. Contribute to client satisfaction by meeting service level agreements and supporting onboarding or training activities as needed. Qualifications: Relevant degree preferred. 5 or more years of relevant experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, and purchase order management. Experience resolving pricing, invoice, and delivery discrepancies in an ERP environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with clients and suppliers. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting defined service levels. Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
