The Opportunity This position, Software Test Lead works out of our Charlottesville, VA location in the Informatics division in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics. Were empowering smarter medical and economic decision-making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbotts diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people. What Youll Work On Review deliverables/activities as identified in the test plans for accuracy, consistency, completeness and compliance. Ensure adequate test coverage for every release. May be covering multiple projects. Mentor and provide day to day guidance to the junior members of the software test team. Review work to ensure compliance and quality. May be covering multiple projects. Provide feedback and suggest improvements to the Agile SDLC process Strategically incorporate automated testing into the SDLC Evaluate new tools and processes for adoption within the organization Complete software testing and activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements), and execute test cases Adhere to regulatory standards associated with verification of medical systems Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes. Perform exploratory testing, system level end to end testing, develop test datasets and execute automation scripts (to ensure application software releases are of high quality) Create verification and validation test plans, test plans, test reports, trace matrices and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality) Review code diff analysis and develop robust regression test strategy. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 4+ years of Software Quality Assurance in a regulated industry is required. 1+ years of scripting/automating tests (or familiarity with automation practices) is required. Moderate knowledge of Agile methodologies Moderate level of understanding of test-driven methodologies v.
