Full Job Description

In this role you along with an engineering team will create standard logistics system building blocks for usage globally by the operations organization. To do this you will work as part of a multi-functional team of highly experienced mechanical, controls, and contract engineers. These building blocks will provide for a backbone of all standard offerings and can be configured and reused in flexible ways to rapidly deploy customer solutions. The customer of these efforts is the operations side of the Dematic business focusing on projects. This includes all global regions including the APAC, China, EMEA, and NA. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $93,750-$143,750 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Tasks and Qualifications: What You Will do in This Role: Develop, integrate, and maintain Ignition platform Continue to build an integration strategy based on principles of reusability, security, scalability and quality Assess and propose changes to algorithms that improve computational efficiency Communicate across various internal and external stakeholders to understand the business goals and feasibility of proposed integrations Implement Agile software development methods and encourage best practices Emphasize quality and user focus, inspiring others What We Are Looking For: Knowledge / Qualifications: 6+ years logistics Engineering experience or equivalent. 3+ Years total leadership experience Controls Knowledge & Experience Experience refactoring and / or re-architecting code Knowledge in core Python and software development concepts such as data structures, data types and variables, exception handling, file handling, generators, iterators, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Experience with Agile software development Experience with version control systems (git, mercurial or others) Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties autonomously without much supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to solve problems and think creatively Passion for creating something new and proactively meeting user needs Preferred: Experience in warehousing and supply chain Experience with JavaScript (React, Angular, or similar framework) Experience developing website interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices Experience with version control systems, and a thorough understanding of architecture of web applications, web security and encryption Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles Education: Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science degree preferred. Location & Authorization: This is a hybrid role requiring proximity to one of our U.S. offices (Grand Rapids, MI; Atlanta, GA, Milwaukee, WI, Plano TX).
