Summary Job Summary: The Junior Developer is an on-site role that supports the development and maintenance of software integrations, in-house tools, and internal systems. This individual will assist in building basic applications, managing database queries and automation tasks, and supporting IT infrastructure-related development. The Junior Developer will also provide secondary support to the IT Systems Support Specialist when needed for troubleshooting, user requests, and field deployments. This is a hands-on, entry-to-mid-level technical role ideal for someone with a foundation in programming and a desire to grow into a full-stack or DevOps-oriented career path. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Software Development & Integration - Assist in developing and maintaining internal tools and web-based applications. - Support and build system-to-system integrations using APIs and middleware platforms. - Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or issues in existing codebases. - Participate in software deployments and testing. Database Support - Perform basic data queries, updates, and reports using SQL. - Help maintain data integrity and assist with data migrations or transformation scripts. - Collaborate with IT analysts and support teams on data-related tasks. IT & Systems Support Collaboration - Assist the IT Systems Support Specialist with technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and user support as needed. - Help deploy software to end-user devices and ensure systems are functioning properly. - Participate in infrastructure-related scripting, automation, or monitoring initiatives. Documentation & Process Improvement - Maintain documentation for scripts, applications, and procedures. - Suggest improvements to workflows, automation, or internal tools based on usage feedback. Required Qualifications: Technical Skills - Familiarity with one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, C#, SQL). - Basic understanding of APIs and RESTful services. - Exposure to relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL). - Familiarity with version control tools such as Git. General Requirements - Strong interest in technology, systems, and continuous learning. - Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. - Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams. - Self-starter with good organizational habits and attention to detail.
