As a Senior Transportation Engineer, you will complete a wide variety of complex engineering assignments, applying advanced techniques and analyses within your discipline. This position requires a fully qualified professional proficient in engineering theories and practices, including CAE (computer-aided engineering) and CAD (computer-aided design) applications. Travel or relocation to supplier, client, or construction site locations may be required. What You'll Be Doing: Perform complex engineering tasks and critical assignments efficiently and accurately. Extract engineering information from CAD drawings. Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Complete a variety of deliverables, such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Interface frequently with other engineering disciplines and departments. Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses. Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior Engineers working on the same project. Provide the seal and signature of a professional engineer, as required, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances. Act in an advisory capacity to senior management on engineering-related matters. Perform other responsibilities as required by the position. What Required Skills You'll Bring: 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field). 8-10 years of related work experience. Professional Engineer (PE) registration may be required.
