Job Classification: Finance & Accounting - Finance & Accounting Prudential Financial Group (PFI, fortune 500 company), is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to fill a newly created of Manager, Expense Management. The Manager, Expense Management position will be responsible for monthly financial close, overseeing expenses and cash management, plus analysis and business measurement for OAS and its Bermuda companies. The successful candidate for this position should possess the ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently, have strong written and oral communication skills, and effectively develop within a team dynamic. The role will suit a highly motivated, process improvement oriented, and results driven Expense Manager, who will be expected to play a key role in the implementation of Financial Expense Transformation initiatives. The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid in Newark, NJ and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. What you can expect: Manage the expense management process, including monthly expense journal entries, for OAS, Gib Re, Lotus Re, and PSCB. Oversee accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and financial records. Own intercompany accounting, including affiliated reconciliations, invoicing, and settlements. Support and oversee cash management for PSCB, Gib Re, and Lotus Re. Deliver timely quarterly expense management reporting to meet needs of Bermuda management team, local board, and internal PFI stakeholders. Functional expense results validation, development of business-drivers analysis of variances, and communication of expense results to multiple stakeholders. Produce actionable analytics, insightful financial information to facilitate transparency, and executive presentations to articulate functional results and future projections. Coordinate and review monthly and quarterly accruals and correction entries with the offshore team. Create strong partnerships while gaining a thorough understanding of the key expense levers/drivers in each functional area. Manage monthly affiliated and vendor bill payments, while seeking process improvements. Supervise control activities for related processes. Assist with various ad-hoc requests for Senior Management. What youll need: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Recognized Accounting designation CPA or equivalent Strong working knowledge of Oracle BI, SQB, FDW, and advanced proficiency in MS Office suite. Knowledge of WebADI templates and how to develop journal entries. Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands. Proactively anticipate issues, provide recommendations, and communicate key issues timely and at the right level. Itd be a plus if you have: Advanced degree or designation (e.g., MBA, CFA). Experience managing reports and shared resources. Innovation mindset with the willingness to challenge the status quo. What we offer you: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $118,700.00 to $176,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
