OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Networks national content. JOB DESCRIPTION Fox O&O, Fox13-WTVT is a leading television station and digital content provider committed to delivering high-quality programming and News coverage to The Tampa Bay Region. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team and assist with the HR initiatives supporting our employees. The Human Resources Generalist will assist with overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes at Fox13-WTVT. This role is critical in ensuring that our station attracts, develops, and retains top talent while ensuring a positive workplace culture. Reporting to the Vice President of HR to align HR Policies. Responsibilities include: Ensures that HRIS (Workday) data is complete, accurate and timely. Assists with ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as with Federal, State, and Local employment laws and regulations (including labor law posting administration and required reporting). Consults with Managers and Supervisors to evaluate and update job descriptions based on business needs. Supports the recruiting/hiring process by sourcing and screening candidates, setting interviews, reference checks etc. Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding, Responsible for the I-9 process and E-Verify. Serves as a liaison between company personnel and the benefits department to resolve benefits related questions and concerns. Assists with leave of absence administration including FMLA processing and tracking and disability case management. Assists with the annual performance evaluation process, employee relations issues, and terminations. Ensure Corp policy is followed by performing ongoing employee training. Schedules meetings, interviews, company events etc. Other duties as deemed appropriate and assigned. Three years of proven HR experience at the generalist level. This position requires a skill set that includes effective written/verbal communication, creative problem solving and conflict management. Experience computer skills (HRIS, Workday, and Microsoft Office a plus). SHRM qualification a plus. This is a high volume and hands-on administrative position. Ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to develop solid collaborative relationships with all levels of staff. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills. Must work efficiently under specific time constraints. Strong organizational skills required. Bachelors degree in HR Management or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is highly desirable. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $70,000.00-80,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
