Position Title: Golf Smokehouse Grill Workers Job Posting Closing Date: ***OPEN FILE RECRUITMENT*** [Applications will be considered in the order they are received.] Provo City is hiring seasonal workers to serve in The Smokehouse grill at the Timpanogos Golf Course. These roles involved food handling and interacting with the public. Qualified, civic-minded individuals are encouraged to apply. Job Details What is the compensation? Pay Rate: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour, depending upon skill level and experience. What will I do? Open and close The Smokehouse grill. Manage all food operations. Provide friendly customer service. Assist in inventory management and ordering. Prepare and record nightly deposits. Assist with general upkeep and maintenance of the clubhouse. Assist head and assistant professionals in daily tasks. Assist with tournaments, outings, and events. Assist other crew members as needed/directed. Perform other related work as required. What do I need to apply? Any training or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position. Physical strength and agility to perform the work. Valid, lawful driver license required at time of appointment. Must obtain food handlers permit upon hire. What are the hours and duration? Positions are for a fixed term from approximately February through December. Hours of operation are from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., Sunday through Saturday. Employees will work 5- to 6-hour shifts up to 40 hours per week. Actual schedule will vary throughout the season, including weekends and holidays, and will be coordinated with supervisor. What are the physical and environmental factors? This position requires working indoors and outside in all weather conditions, including rain, sun, and varying temperatures; regular interaction with the public, sometimes in potentially tense or confrontational situations; and may require using equipment, bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, and lifting items of up to 50 lbs.
