Job Title: Lead Associate Pay Details: The starting hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour. This position is responsible for the supervision of part-time staff associates and the daily activities required to operate at The Rinks standard of service. This individual must thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and possess the ability to effectively communicate with and oversee a diverse population. Responsibilities Personnel Promptly assign duties to all Associates to meet the daily needs of the facility and ensure task completion. Oversee Associates in all areas of the facility to ensure 100% guest satisfaction, and to maintain a safe environment in accordance with The Rinks policies and procedures. Coach, counsel and discipline Associates in order to accomplish department objectives and ensure compliance with The Rinks policies and procedures. Demonstrate the initiative and commitment to communication and teamwork to ensure optimal guest service at all times. Actively promote the priorities of the company, including the company values and vision at all times. Provides quality customer service both internally and externally by using discretion and enforcing company service standards at all times. Participate in weekly/biweekly Lead meetings, and attend company Power Play sessions. Programs Great Park/Poway, Facilities Lead Associate: Assist with the daily execution of Anaheim Ducks/San Diego Gulls practices and activities. Able to communicate rink programming information to guests with a high degree of knowledge and accuracy when escalated by an Associate. Resolve operations problems (Ticketing, Reservations & Enrollment in programs) in a skillful, expedient manner. Delegate the set up and tear down of facility signage and displays where applicable. Aide in the execution of special events and programs. Maintenance and Safety Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by knowing and carrying out emergency procedures including follow-up documentation and reporting on injuries to guests or employees. Great Park/Poway, Facilities Lead Associate: Ensures that the facility consistently meets professional-level standards for the Anaheim Ducks/San Diego Gulls and visiting NHL/AHL teams. Ice Rinks: Assist in Ice Maintenance as needed to maximize efficiency. Operate the Zamboni and edger, requiring ability to walk on the ice. Manage Associates who safeguard public sessions to assure exemplary Guest experience. Ice Rinks: Able to walk out onto the Ice surface to assist customers in emergencies. Monitor ice and inline rink surface conditions; delegates Associates to remove debris from surface and surrounding areas. Reports all maintenance requests to the General Manager in a timely manner. Lift and move hockey nets (weight between 81 120 lbs) Replace Rink glass and repair the rink system as needed (glass weight between 52 155 lbs) Accounting and Finance Responsible for distributing all cash drawers, deposits and safe monies to Associates. Daily documentation of sales reports including, but not limited to, cover reports, flash sales summary reports, ice utilization reports, food and beverage reports, Marty reports, over/short reports, and deposit summary reports. Required to complete daily audit reports to The Rinks accounting department and the facilitys General Manager. Other duties as assigned Skills Must be 21 years of age or older One or more years of management experience with the ability to delegate responsibilities preferred Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Effective time management and organizational skills Rink experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Required - 1-2 Year's The Rinks Development Program launched in 2009, and consists of seven local hockey and skating facilities throughout Southern California: six ice rinks - Anaheim ICE, Lakewood ICE, Westminster ICE, Yorba Linda ICE, Poway ICE and Great Park ICE, as well as one inline facility - Irvine Inline. The Rinks offer a variety of hockey and skating programs for participants of all ages and ability levels. The Rinks is home to thousands of youth and adult hockey players as well as recreational skaters to competitive Olympic figure skaters.
