Full Job Description

Arrow Sanitary Service, a Waste Connections company, is looking for an ambitious PM Technician to work on our fleet of diesel waste trucks in Portland, Oregon. Schedule: Monday Thursday 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM Friday 10:00 AM 6:30 PM Wage: $26.00 - $32.00/hour DOE Safety Sensitive: Yes RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete required paperwork utilizing the fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documents parts usage, and accounts for repair times. Ability to effectively communicate and understand service schedules and/or repairs. General shop maintenance/cleaning duties as needed. Performs routine equipment safety checks. Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks. Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions. Must be comfortable using computers and diagnostic software for troubleshooting and maintenance. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above REQUIRED. Valid Drivers License with eligible motor vehicle report REQUIRED. Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement preferred or ability to obtain in the future required. Personal Tools REQUIRED. Welding/fabrication experience preferred. Must bring a strong work ethic, a positive mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow in this role. Position requires eligible motor vehicle report, eligible criminal background check and clean drug panel screening. WHAT WE OFFER TO YOU: Yearly Safety Bonuses!
