The Opportunity The position of Financial Analyst Commercial is within our Toxicology business unit, within our finance team, located in Kansas City, Missouri and is part of our Workplace Services business, which is committed to developing and delivering innovative products and services. These products and services automate and streamline the employee screening process by combining cutting-edge technology with superior customer service. The Financial Analyst Commercial will support the commercial team in developing and monitoring performance to annual plan and quarterly forecasts and support recurring and ad-hoc reporting to support business performance. We seek someone who approaches projects with an innovative, service-oriented mindset, and a strong emphasis on data-driven solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with commercial leadership to develop sales and personnel budgets and forecasts in support of annual Plan and quarterly forecast updates Compare and analyze monthly financial results to plan and forecast, identifying and documenting key business drivers for variances, elevating risks and opportunities as applicable Conduct regular financial reviews with business partners to communicate financial performance, key business issues, and provide insights to support the commercial team in achieving financial goals Identify and drive process improvement and reporting automation and enhancement opportunities Support business partners in the creation and maintenance of reports and Power BI dashboards to manage performance Prepare monthly financial reporting to be distributed to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and integrity of deliverables Influences and provides guidance for decision making while using sound reasoning to effectively persuade BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance 2 years or more of work experience in finance, accounting or auditing Periodic travel may be required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree Ability to organize and interpret large amounts of data, identify and interpret trends and summarize in a clear and concise format Proficient in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint Experience working in healthcare, manufacturing, or technology Working knowledge of financial statements and concepts Working at Abbott At Abbott, you can do work that matters, grow, and learn, care for yourself and family, be your true self and live a full life.
