This position requires a candidate strongly versed in heavy equipment, from dozer and excavators to trucks and crawler cranes. SUMMARY Responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment. Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components. Write and complete service reports. Participate in company training programs. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred 5 years of experience preferred QUALIFICATIONS Valid CDL drivers license preferred Basic welding skills desired Crane knowledge a plus Desire to take on new challenges Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends Expected base pay range for this positions is: $36.00/hr - $43.00/hr This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
