Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our growing team in Denver, CO! The Commercial Lines Account Executive designs, markets, and implements primarily middle market insurance programs on behalf of clients. Conduct strategic planning meetings with clients to discuss and recommend risk transfer programs. Coordinates services between the client and the insurance company and provides day-to-day consulting and client advice. Responsible for making independent decisions about marketing strategy, insurance program design, and communication with clients. Delegates administrative work to others that serve in a supporting role. How You Will Contribute: Analyzes clients' business models, risk profiles, and loss history to identify exposures and risk transfer strategies. Assesses clients risk tolerance, service needs, and retention capabilities. Leads the development of marketing plans, including insurance specifications, timelines, and market selection. Negotiates with underwriters to secure optimal insurance program terms. Prepares insurance proposals that compare and recommend competitive program options. Designs alternative risk management strategies linking risk identification, funding, and service. Oversees the risk transfer process, ensuring timely and accurate binder and policy issuance. Builds and maintains strong relationships with underwriters and stays updated on market trends. Manages ongoing client service plans, renewal processes, mid-term changes, and stewardship reviews. Supports team development, oversees others, provides feedback, and participates in business development and continuing education. Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned. Skills & Experience to Be Successful: College degree is preferred. 6+ years of experience in the industry and licensed as a Producer of Property and Casualty in applicable state. Participates in continuing education in order to maintain the appropriate level of credentials. Understands client profitability through an understanding of income, expenses, and time utilized related to specific client needs. Able to demonstrate an elevated level of knowledge with all assigned products, insurance coverages, services, policies, pricing, placement of coverage, regulations and benefits of each as well as the B&B philosophy regarding these products and services. Expertise in the insurance industry with a demonstrated ability to explain B&B capabilities relative to our competitors. Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to connect with an audience and speak persuasively and succinctly. Demonstrates good listening skills to enhance understanding and probe effectively. Strong time management skills and the ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple projects/tasks maximize the number of internal and external clients that can be assisted while maintaining a high level of customer service. Works in a collaborative, team-oriented manner, fostering empowerment and ownership of service quality. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of B&B systems. Good keyboard and PC skills using word processing and spreadsheet software, familiarity with various software applications, and the ability to learn new software systems. This position may require routine or periodic travel, which may require the team members to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position. Pay Range $80k - $100k Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
