Company Cox Automotive - USA Job Family Group Vehicle Operations Job Profile Title Specialist I Management Level Individual Contributor Flexible Work Option No remote option; must work at a specified Cox location Travel % No Work Shift Day Compensation Hourly base pay rate is $19.38 - $29.09/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Job Description Job Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements. Verify acceptance of the title in Virginia. Confirm accurate title VIN number, odometer reading, releases of liens, and that titles contain no alteration, etc. Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws dictate and regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpret titling regulations in each state for which vehicles are processed. Determine negotiability of title document and assess for potential fraud. Report any title discrepancies. Resolve titling issues through interaction with clients and regulatory agencies. Perform other duties such as processing sale day transactions using the AS400 and other web-based programs. Answer phones, convey messages. Perform sale day administration functions including front counter, collecting & posting payments. Assist with title audits. Process Titles through DMV Select System. Perform other duties as assigned by management. May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Qualifications: Minimum- High School Diploma/GED Generally, less than 2 years of experience Effective communication skills Possesses good problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills Vision abilities that include close, distance and depth perception. Bending and light lifting 10 lbs. or less required. Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Preferred- Experience in the auction/automobile industry or at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Notary seals and stamps Drug Testing To be employed in this role, youll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
