Were looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Science & Insights team at Snap! What youll do: Understand the business challenges and needs to help leadership make data driven decisions by analyzing and combining data across multiple sources: Distill complicated analytical concepts for broader audiences and be able to influence their decision making through a data story. Use data and logic to impact client and business success by providing analysis, insights, reports and actionable recommendations: Build and maintain dashboards and reports to help the business understand and optimize advertiser performance and product development through a client-centric lens. Function as a thought leader, offering insights related to vertical or category industry trends in order to inform or strengthen Snaps in-market pitch. Proactively identify projects that impact revenue, defines scope and objectives, and proposes a course of action required to attain objectives. Identify performance trends across auction campaigns to fuel optimization recommendations; evangelize best practices across the account management group. Design, build and maintain data structures to facilitate reporting and monitoring key performance indicators; Monitor and investigate changes in key performance indicators for products. Develop and maintain ETL routines using ETL and orchestration tools such as Airflow; Perform SQL and ETL tuning as necessary: perform and report results from straightforward AB experimentations. Collaborate with Sales, Creative Strategy, Marketing Science, and Product Solutions to ensure our campaigns are running optimally and constantly adapting to new findings Build solutions using high technical standards, and consistently follow best practices. This may include writing high quality SQL, building basic dashboards using visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau. Knowledge, skills & abilities: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills Written and verbal presentation Data driven and analytical mindset Ability to work in an agile, dynamic environment Ability to work individually while operating as a collaborative team player Ability to use tech to improve work-flows and create efficiencies Ability to think strategically, analyze and interpret market and consumer information. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, information systems, computer science, business, marketing, communications, economics, or a related area of study or equivalent years of experience 3+ years of relevant professional experience in an analytical field 2+ years work experience using SQL Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of data modeling principles including dimensional modeling, data normalization principles etc. Expertise in data exploration / data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc. Excellent conceptual and analytical reasoning competencies. Experience with additional programming languages (e.g. Python/R) 2+ years of experience with workflow management tools (Airflow, Oozie, Azkaban, UC4). Experience with defining, implementing and analyzing A/B and multivariate experiments. Experience in a sales-facing environment - supporting Sales on client / vertical / or business-level requests with insights. Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future. Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $118,000-$176,000 annually. Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $112,000-$167,000 annually. Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
