Horizontal Strategic Operations Project Manager Capital One's Learning & Development (L&D) Strategic Operations team is looking for a Horizontal Strategic Operations Project Manager to tell the story of L&Ds impact in support of enterprise learning priorities. In this role, you'll partner with program managers and learning consultants to design, implement, and track the flow of work across the L&D operating model, socialize data, contribute to well-managed process improvement, standardization, and efficiency, and identify opportunities to scale horizontal solutions. We're seeking a highly motivated strategic thinker who will act as a central hub, ensuring our team's efforts are aligned with the broader organizational goals. You'll work closely with leaders across the organization to refine our operational strategies, optimize our processes, and drive key transformations. You will also help drive the well-managed execution of our teams strategy by partnering to operationalize organizational priorities, manage various work streams, lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on critical change management processes. To be successful in this role you will need to Own one of more aspects of the L&D operating model (intake, prioritization, business intelligence), applying sound judgment and problem-solving skills to continuously refine the model, incorporate feedback, and ensure all components function in a seamless, integrated manner. Support and partner with senior L&D leaders in norming outcomes across a horizontal center of excellence supporting one or more aspects of L&D org functions (design, facilitation, consulting) Deliver end-to-end workflow process support and strategic consultation for various L&D clients Facilitate meetings for your L&D client group, ensuring intakes progress accurately and efficiently Train and upskill your L&D client groups on operating model processes Actively seek out and problem-solve opportunities to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and introduce new tools or methodologies that enhance the team's efficiency and impact Support People Leader with change management approaches that influence and drive cross-functional work across our offerings Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification At least 2 years of experience in learning and development At least 2 years of experience in project, program and/or process management Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree 3+ years of experience in learning and development 3+ years of experience in project management, program and/or process management Experience collaborating in a matrixed organization Impeccable customer focus, problem solving and relationship building skills Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems and thrive in ambiguity Passion for learning with a growth mindset Experience with Jira and Google Suite At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Project Manager Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Project Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
