The Opportunity This position works out of our Austin, TX location in the Neuromodulation Divison. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum. The Marketing Specialist will support the Commercial Marketing Team within the Physician Engagement function by managing marketing projects, coordinating engagement initiatives, and providing critical administrative and operational support. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a rapid-paced environment, and a team-focused mindset driven to help colleagues succeed and ensure overall division success. This position partners closely with leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and physicians to support impactful commercial marketing and engagement activities. What You'll Work On Support the planning, execution, and tracking of physician engagement and commercial marketing initiatives, campaigns, and programs Manage multiple projects simultaneously using tools such as Monday.com and Jotform, ensuring deadlines, workflows, and deliverables are met Coordinate logistics and materials for meetings, conferences, and physician engagement events Lead small projects or event initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across departments Provide administrative support, including: Managing leadership expense reports using Concur Maintaining leadership calendars Coordinating and booking travel arrangements Track budgets, expenses, and forecasts using budget tracking tools and Excel Assist with the development, formatting, and distribution of marketing materials, presentations, and internal communications Effectively communicate with physicians to support strong, professional, and productive engagement strategies Support internal teams with scheduling, reporting, and documentation to ensure operational efficiency Demonstrate a collaborative, team-focused attitude to support co-workers and contribute to division-wide success Work overtime as needed and travel to support meetings, conferences, and engagement activities Required Qualifications Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience 2+ years of experience in an administrative, event support, or related role Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a rapid-paced environment Ability to lead small projects or events involving multiple stakeholders across departments Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience using project management, intake, and tracking tools such as Monday.com, Jotform, Concur, and budget tracking systems Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and support productive engagement strategies Occasional or regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of this position Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional weekends, to support meetings and conferences Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree PMP certification Experience supporting commercial marketing, physician engagement, or healthcare-focused teams Conference and meeting coordination experience in a fast-paced or regulated environment Demonstrated ability to proactively support leadership and anticipate team needs Apply Now Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
