Department: Western AR Area Technical Center Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Western Arkansas Technical Center (WATC) is a regional secondary technical center that provides concurrent credit educational opportunities for high school juniors and seniors. The Program Coordinator supports student recruitment, registration, retention, career exploration, job placement, and student success initiatives while serving as a key liaison among students, high schools, the college, and the business community. The Program Coordinator serves as a student advocate, promoting student engagement and academic success through advising, enrollment support, and individualized assistance. Responsibilities include collaborating with high school principals, counselors, instructors, and parents; presenting program information to prospective students and community stakeholders; maintaining accurate student records; coordinating scheduling and competency testing; and assisting with the planning and implementation of student orientation and special events. Additionally, the Program Coordinator represents WATC in interactions with business and industry partners, campus departments, and secondary school personnel. This position reports to the Executive Director of Early College Programs. This is a twelve-month position.
