Annual Salary: $39,819.00 - $42,607.50 Hourly: $20.42 - $21.85 Department: General Government, Stormwater Management Division: Stormwater Field Operations FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: In this role, you will be responsible for the operation of motor equipment that does not require a commercial drivers license for the construction, repair and maintenance of municipal rights-of-way and drainage systems. Examples of Duties: Drives and operates motor equipment such as side cutters, pickup trucks, rollers or any dump truck with a combined weight not exceeding 26,000lbs. Completes work orders and daily worksheets. Performs daily maintenance on equipment operated and maintains records of such maintenance. Operates other heavy equipment such as backhoe or front-end loader when required. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1.5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid state issued drivers license. Must complete and pass city vehicle operation and safety training which includes air brakes within 60 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with air brakes. Other Necessary Requirements: May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the Citys needs.
