Job Description The Financial Accounting Intern will collaborate with our corporate Accounting & Finance teams in all areas of Accounting support. Interns develop a broad range of accounting and financial reporting skills. This position gains hands on experience in developing properly prepared financials reports through reconciliations and financial analytics, as well as an opportunity to foster confidence and relationships with both management and other team members. Responsibilities - Prepare reconciliations for Controller review, - Review financial data for proper general ledger posting, - Prepare financial analysis for specific spending accounts - Shadow staff accountant in various month end tasks to learn revenue cycle Skills and Knowledge Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of team, Effective communication and interpersonal skills., Enthusiastic attitude, Exceptional verbal, writing, and analytical skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) suites and CAD programs Qualifications Ability to work as a team member; Intermediate skills in Microsoft and Excel; Enthusiastic attitude; Takes initiative with minimal oversight; Possess collaboration and communication skills with the agility to work across multiple team settings. Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university and/or recent graduate required; Available to work standard hours M-F at corporate office location in Lenexa, KS; Retail experience preferred; Eligible to work in the U.S. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors.
